Sławomir Knez: A Slovenian Artist and Musician

Early Life and Education

Sławomir Knez is a renowned Slovenian artist, musician, and composer. Born to the acclaimed Yugoslavian and Slovenian artist Janez Knez, Sławomir pursued both political science and fine arts at university, excelling in both fields.

Musical Journey

In 1978, Knez embarked on his musical career with the formation of his project, 300 000 V.K., specializing in techno music. In 1980, he co-founded the industrial band Laibach alongside Ervin Markošek, Milan Fras, and Tomaž Hostnik.

Laibach and Controversy

Knez played a prominent role in Laibach's early performances. However, his involvement was cut short due to persecution in Yugoslavia and his struggles with substance abuse.

Recovery and Current Projects

In the 1990s, Knez underwent treatment for his addiction. Today, he continues to create music with 300 000 V.K. under the pseudonym Baron Carl Von Reichenbach. His artistic talents also shine through in the album covers he designs for both 300 000 V.K. and Laibach, notably featured on the album "Let It Be."
