Born on July 21, 1974, in Kemerovo, Siberia, Denis Aleksandrov's life has revolved around two passions: music and medicine. From the tender age of seven, he graced school halls, while at ten, he ventured into the world of music at Ufa-Ilimsk Children's Music School No. 2, where he honed his skills on the bayan (button accordion). Six years later, he graduated with honors in his specialty but an uninspiring grade in solfeggio.

Medical Journey and the Birth of "Dr. Aleksandrov"

After graduating from the Irkutsk Medical Institute in 1999, Aleksandrov relocated to Moscow, where he currently practices as a radiologist at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Aid. The title "Doctor" in his stage name stems from his profession.

Musical Inspiration and the Lure of Moscow

Despite his medical pursuits, Aleksandrov harbored ambitions unrelated to medicine. His musical awakening began at the tender age of five with The Beatles. Early influences included his father's vast collection of vinyl records and iconic figures like Vladimir Vysotsky. As he delved deeper into music, he explored diverse genres, from DDT and Nautilus Pompilius to Yegor Letov and the underground sounds of the Soviet era.

Own Compositions and the Rise of "Stop Narcotics"

Aleksandrov's songwriting career is shrouded in mystery, but he boasts over 180 songs and eight cassette albums to his credit. In 2001, his career took an unexpected turn with the release of "Stop Narcotics," a satirical take on the dangers of drug abuse. The song soared to the top of the "Chertova Dyuzhina" hit parade, propelling him into the limelight.

Album Debut and Festival Debut

Aleksandrov's newfound success caught the attention of CD-Land, which signed him for his full-length debut album in the fall of the same year. He also graced the stage of the renowned "Nashestvie" festival, joining the ranks of the summer's top musicians.
