Early Life and Martial Arts JourneyDenys Balandin was born on May 4, 1980, in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. His father, Sergey Balandin, introduced him to martial arts at the tender age of two. With a background in the elite "Berkut" unit, Sergey instilled in Denys a passion for combat sports.
Balandin began with judo and later transitioned to hand-to-hand combat. By the early 1990s, he had achieved notable success in judo, becoming a medalist at the prestigious Prischepa Judo Tournament.
Kickboxing Mastery
In 1995, Balandin embarked on his kickboxing journey, excelling in all disciplines. He became a master of sport in semi-contact and full-contact, earning first and second place, respectively, at the Ukrainian championship.
His accolades culminated in 1998 with the titles of "Master of Sport of Ukraine" and "Master of Sport of Ukraine, International Class." In 2003, he was bestowed the prestigious "Honored Master of Sport of Ukraine" in kickboxing.
Coaching Success
Balandin's exceptional skills extended beyond competition. In 2016, he became a "Honored Coach of Ukraine in Kickboxing," a testament to his dedication to nurturing young talent.
Light Balance: A Creative Revolution
In 2013, Balandin created and led Light Balance, a groundbreaking dance group that combined neon lighting and innovative technology. Nikita Sukhenko, the group's technical director, developed a unique computer program that allowed for seamless integration of light and movement.

Light Balance's brilliance shone brightly on the global stage of America's Got Talent in 2017. They received a golden buzzer from Tyra Banks during the auditions, propelling them directly to the live shows. In 2008, Balandin married and became the father of twins, Natalia and Andrey, in 2012.
