Denis Glavina
Denis Glavin
Denis Glavin is a Croatian midfielder who currently plays for Kazakh club Akzhaiyk. Born on July 19, 1988, in Zagreb, Glavin started his football career at the youth academy of Dinamo Zagreb.
Early Career
In 2004, Glavin joined the youth team of Dinamo Kyiv, where he spent two seasons before moving to Vorskla Poltava on loan in 2005. After unsuccessful stints at Dnipro and Vorskla on loan, he returned to Vorskla on a permanent deal in 2008. Glavin became a regular starter for Vorskla and won the Ukrainian Cup in 2009.
Return to Croatia and Poland
In 2009, Glavin was briefly loaned back to Dinamo Zagreb before joining Polish club Arka Gdynia in 2010. He became a free agent in 2011 and signed for Varaždin in 2012. Glavin spent three seasons with Split before playing briefly in Slovenia for Zavrč.
Kazakhstan
In 2016, Glavin moved to Kazakhstan, signing for Tobol. He later joined Akzhaiyk and had a brief stint with Zhetysu before returning to Akzhaiyk in 2018. He has remained with Akzhaiyk since then.
International Career
Glavin represented Croatia at the U-19 and U-21 levels.Family
Glavin's brother, Dominik (born 1992), is also a professional footballer who plays for Varaždin.
