In 1991, Grey retired from performing, leaving behind an impressive legacy. She passed away peacefully in Paris in 1996 at the age of 99. Grey was laid to rest in the town of Arradon. Her daughter, Suzanne Grey, also an actress, died in 2005 at the age of 88.
