Amateur Boxing Career
Detelina Dalaklieva is a Bulgarian amateur boxer who has achieved significant success in her career. She was crowned the 2009 World Boxing Champion and the 2006 and 2008 European Boxing Championships silver medalist. Dalaklieva also earned bronze medals at the 2003 and 2004 World Championships and the 2001 European Championships.
Early Competitions
Dalaklieva's boxing journey began at the 2002 European Championships, where she advanced to the quarterfinals before losing to Ali Allahab of France. In 2005, she competed in the World Championships, where she was defeated by Gary Russell Jr. of the United States in the first round.
2006 European Championships: Silver Medal
In 2006, Dalaklieva achieved her greatest success to date by winning a silver medal at the European Championships. She fought five bouts during the competition, ultimately losing to Ali Aliyev of Russia in the final. Dalaklieva's path to the final included victories over Khatsigov, Ali, Murray, and Ahmed.
