Early Life and CareerBorn in New York City on January 11, 1977, Devin Ratray is the son of Peter Ratray and Anne Willis, both actors known for their work in the film "Hollywood Shuffle." Inspired by his parents' careers, Ratray made his first appearance on screen as a child.
After attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Ratray briefly departed from acting to pursue other aspects of filmmaking at New York University and the School of Visual Arts.
Film Debut and Breakthrough
Ratray's acting career officially began in 1986 with "Where Are the Children?" He went on to appear in various minor roles before landing a memorable part as a bully in the 1989 family comedy "Little Monsters."
In 1990, Ratray's career took a pivotal turn when he was cast as Buzz McCallister, Kevin's older brother, in the blockbuster Christmas comedy "Home Alone." The film's success brought Ratray widespread recognition.

Despite his breakout role, Ratray's subsequent projects failed to match the success of "Home Alone." He appeared in supporting roles in "Perfect Harmony" (1991) and "Dennis the Menace" (1993).

Ratray continued to work consistently in both film and television, with roles in "Nebraska" (2013), "The Blacklist" (2015), and "Russian Doll" (2019).
In 2021, he reprised his role as Buzz McCallister in the Disney+ reboot of "Home Alone." However, the film received negative reviews and was considered a commercial failure.
Personal Life
Ratray is known for maintaining a private personal life and seldom attends public events. He is close to his brother, Luke Ratray, a photographer, and is a father to a nephew named Riley.
In June 2021, Ratray suffered the tragic loss of his mother, Anne Willis, who passed away just days before their 54th wedding anniversary. He frequently shares touching tributes to her on Instagram.
