Early Life and Inheritance

Dhanin Chearavanont was born in 1939 in Thailand and is one of the wealthiest individuals in the country. He inherited his fortune from his father and his main source of income is the conglomerate group, "Charoen Pokphand." Dhanin is married and has five children. He currently resides with his family in his residence in Bangkok.

Leadership of Charoen Pokphand

Dhanin Chearavanont is currently the head of the family corporation, "Charoen Pokphand," which is engaged in various agricultural activities. The company was founded in 1978 as a small enterprise involved in seed collection and sales. Over time, the company's turnover grew, and the products manufactured in "Charoen Pokphand" factories gained popularity not only in Thailand but also in many other countries. As a result, the company decided to expand its sphere of operations.

Diversification and Expansion

"Charoen Pokphand" factories began manufacturing animal feed, and several livestock farms and agricultural estates were established. In 1987, the company's management decided to list the company's shares on public auctions. At the end of the 1990s, the company started gaining momentum and became a leader in the agricultural business in Thailand. By 2005, the company's sales volume approached $3.6 billion. The main markets for "Charoen Pokphand" products include China, Turkey, the United States, Russia, and European countries. Approximately 87% of sales are from Thailand, while the rest comes from exports to other countries.

"Charoen Pokphand" has several subsidiary companies, with offices and factories located in countries such as China, Malaysia, and India. The company's subsidiary, "Charoen Pokphand Foods," specializes in agriculture and animal feed production. The main livestock farms are located in developed countries like the United States and Russia, while agricultural enterprises are established in Asian countries.

Future Plans and Investments

In the near future, Dhanin Chearavanont plans to construct a large animal feed factory in Russia. Additionally, significant pig complexes will be created. The investments for this project amount to over 500 million rubles. By 2011, "Charoen Pokphand Foods" plans to invest approximately 2 billion rubles in Russian agriculture. Apart from "Charoen Pokphand," Dhanin Chearavanont also owns other companies such as "CP Seven Eleven," "True Corporation Thailand," "Super Brand Mall," and "Lotus."
