Early Life and Education

Diego César Ramos was born on November 29, 1972, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Alberto and Silvia Ramos. He is the second of four siblings, including two brothers, Christian and Hernán, and a sister, María Silvia. His father was a cardiologist, while his mother was a homemaker.

Despite his parents' medical and legal backgrounds, Diego pursued his passion for acting at an early age. He attended San Francisco de Sales de Almagro college as a journalism student, but soon realized his calling lay in the performing arts. In his first year, he took up a part-time job in a children's party agency, where he discovered his love for theater.

Acting Career

In 1994, Ramos made his television debut in the sitcom "Montaña Rusa." His role as the unassuming Maxi earned him recognition and paved the way for subsequent roles in "Como Pan Caliente," "Verano del '98," and "Gasoleros."

In 1997, Ramos' career took a significant turn when he landed a lead role in the telenovela "Ricos y Famosos" alongside Natalia Oreiro. His portrayal of Diego Soler, a wealthy lawyer falling in love with a commoner, garnered him immense popularity in Argentina and abroad.

Breakthrough with "Muñeca Brava"

Ramos' international fame reached new heights with his role as Sergio Costa in the telenovela "Muñeca Brava" (1998), also starring Natalia Oreiro. The series became a global hit, captivating audiences with its romantic and dramatic storylines.

In the early 2000s, Ramos continued his television work in shows such as "Casablanca," "Verano Eterno," and "Buenos Vecinos." He also performed in several theater productions, including Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the musicals "Cinderella" and "Little Shop of Horrors."
