Biography of Dina Rizzo

Dina Rizzo, a talented athlete and exceptional hockey player, was born on March 24, 1980, in Boston. At the age of thirteen, she started playing field hockey and quickly achieved success. Dina participated in the US Field Hockey's Futures Program and became a member of the NFHCA High School All-America first team.

During her high school years at Walpole High School and later at the University of Maryland, Dina actively participated in various competitions. She competed in Jr Pan Am Championships Bridgetown (2000), Women's Junior World Cup Buenos Aires (2001), 2nd Champions Challenge Catania (2003), XIV Pan American Games Santo Domingo (2003), Olympic Qualifying Tournament Auckland (2004), 2nd Pan American Cup Bridgetown (2004), Rabobank Champions Challenge Virginia Beach (2005), World Cup Qualifier Rome (2006), World Cup Madrid (2006), and AtaHolding Champions Challenge Baku (2007).

Known among her teammates as "Riz," Dina is ambitious and has a burning desire to participate in the Olympic Games and win. She credits her coach, Missy Meharg, for playing a crucial role in her development as an athlete. Her coach has always been able to support and provide guidance.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, music holds special importance in Dina's life. She claims that she cannot go a day without music and has a pleasant singing voice that often surprises those around her.

During her free time from training and studying, Dina enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, reading books, and watching movies. Currently, she is highly focused on the upcoming Olympic Games, dreaming that the United States field hockey team will emerge victorious.
