Early Life and EducationDJ Qualls was born on June 12, 1978, in Nashville, Tennessee. As a child, he witnessed his parents' divorce in 1983 and later fought against Hodgkin's disease, which he courageously overcame after a two-year battle. Despite these challenges, Qualls excelled academically. He pursued English and Literature at London University before returning to his hometown.

Modeling and Acting Debut
Qualls' unconventional appearance captured the attention of renowned photographers David LaChapelle and Steven Klein, who recruited him for Prada's advertising campaign. This opportunity not only provided him with financial stability but also showcased his potential as an actor.

In 1994, Qualls made his television debut in HBO's "Against the Wall." This was followed by supporting roles in "Mama Flora's Family" (1998) and the horror film "Cherry Falls" (1999).
