Early Life and Education

Born on December 2, 1980, in Donetsk, Ukraine, Vadim Belyansky is the son of filmmaker Yuri Belinsky and literary figure Lyudmila Belinskaya. He pursued his education in both Donetsk and Moscow before enrolling in Donetsk National University's Philology Department in 1997.

Journalism and Media Work

Belyansky's media career began in 2001 when he joined the news service of ICTV (Ukraine's Independent Commercial Television). He went on to lead the news analysis department of Inter TV (2009-2010), manage startups for various Ukrainian online media outlets, and serve as deputy director of marketing for STB (2006). From 2006 to 2007, he headed the Ukrainian branch of the Russian news agency Rosbalt.

Creative Director and Political Commentator

In 2007, Belyansky joined Profile magazine as its creative director and political commentator. He later became the magazine's deputy chief editor (2011). In August of the same year, he was appointed director of multimedia development for the multi-media holding "Today Multimedia," part of the SCM Group.

Political Involvement and Advocacy

Belyansky was actively involved in Ukrainian political campaigns from 1999, serving as a political consultant on various projects. He publicly participated in the 2004 presidential election as Dmitry Korchinsky's press secretary and in the 2006 parliamentary election, leading the press department of Natalia Vitrenko's "People's Opposition" bloc. In 2005, he established the non-existent "National Labour Party," advocating for a ban on public politics in Ukraine.

"Vse Pravda o..." Project and Controversies

In 2009, Belyansky launched the YouTube project "Vse Pravda o..." ("All the Truth about..."), which featured counter-agitation campaigns against all major presidential candidates in the 2010 election. Rumors have circulated about his potential involvement in falsifying sociological data during the 2006 parliamentary elections.

Literary and Artistic Work

Belyansky made his literary debut in 2002 with "Photo Album of July 14: 36 Shots for District" and a collection of poetry and short stories. In 2008, he published the novellas "Ukraine, Not for Sale in Moscow" and "Inductor." The latter inspired the script for the film "Delirium" directed by Igor Podolchak.

Following the 2010 presidential election, Belyansky transitioned to art criticism and wrote the novel "DP" (Dramatis Personae). The trailer for the novel was filmed in Lviv in 2010.
