Childhood and Early Career

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Dmytro Korkishko began his football journey as a youth player for Dynamo Kyiv. Coached by Serhiy Velychko, he quickly emerged as a promising forward, scoring 62 goals in 78 matches for Dynamo's youth team. His impressive performances earned him the title of top scorer in the 2002 Lukoil Children's Champions League.

Debut with Dynamo-2

Korkishko made his debut for Dynamo-2, Dynamo Kyiv's reserve team, in 2007. He played 50 matches and scored 13 goals in the First League.

Inclusion in Champions League Squad

In September 2009, Valeri Gazzaev, then coach of Dynamo Kyiv, included Korkishko in the squad for the UEFA Champions League.

Loan to Arsenal Kyiv

In February 2010, Korkishko was loaned to Arsenal Kyiv until the summer of 2010. He debuted in the Ukrainian Premier League on March 13, coming off the bench against FC Karpaty Lviv. In total, he made three appearances for Arsenal, scoring one goal.

International Career

Korkishko represented Ukraine at the U-17 level, debuting in 2005 and scoring 14 goals in 35 matches. He also played for the U-19 team, making his debut in 2007.

European Championship Success

In 2009, Yuri Kalitvintsev selected Korkishko for the U-19 European Championship in Ukraine. Korkishko played a pivotal role, starting in all five matches and scoring the winning goal in the final against England. His performance earned him a place in the UEFA.ua Team of the Tournament.
