He repeated the feats in 2011, catching the attention of European clubs. Deals with Lokomotiv Moscow and Chievo Verona nearly materialized but ultimately failed.

After impressing in the Europa League, he became a regular starter under new manager Georges Leekens. In January 2013, despite a transfer request, he signed a new contract with the club until 2016. He finished the season as the Belgian Pro League top scorer and was named Player of the Year.

He also contributed to Sevilla's Europa League triumph that season, scoring in the final against Benfica.
In the 2014/15 Europa League, Bacca was instrumental with seven goals, including a brace in the final against Dnipro. This victory made Sevilla the tournament's most successful club.
