The Soviet scientist, statesman, and politician was born in 1913. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree and a professorship and became an academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Moldavian SSR. His contributions to science earned him the title of Honored Scientist of the Moldavian SSR and the State Prize of the Moldavian SSR.
