Donna Air is an English television presenter and actress. She was born on August 2, 1979 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Donna attended Gosforth High School and studied at a drama school in her hometown, where she trained alongside Jill Halfpenny and Anthony McPartlin.
Donna's career began at the age of ten in the popular BBC series "Byker Grove," which aired from 1989 to 2006. She then became part of the pop duo "Crush" and toured America, Japan, and Southeast Asia before returning to England to host the daytime show "MTV Select."
Afterwards, Donna went on to host several other popular shows, including "The Big Breakfast," "TFI Friday," and "Popstars: The Rivals Extra." She also appeared in various television dramas such as "Hollyoaks," "Hotel Babylon," "Operation Good Guys," and mini-series like "A Dinner of Herbs" and "Supply and Demand." Donna has also acted in films such as "Still Crazy" (1998), "The Mummy Returns" (2001), and "Bad Day" (2008). Her most recent film, the thriller "The Counselor," was released in the fall of 2013.
Donna co-hosted the program "Live from Studio Five" with Kate Walsh. She is also an ambassador for several brands including Health Lottery, Burberry, Next, Westfield, Olay, Cadbury's, and Triumph. She regularly attends London Fashion Week and has collaborated with the charity organization Soil Association to promote organic milk and edit the cookbook "Grown in Britain." Donna has also written a series of humorous blog posts for eHarmony.
In January 2013, it was announced that Donna would participate in the reality show "Splash!" She replaced actress Jennifer Metcalfe and finished in fourth place. During the show, it was revealed that Donna has a fear of heights.
Donna was in a long-term relationship with Damian Aspinall, a millionaire casino and club owner, until July 2007. They have a daughter named Freya Air Aspinall, who was born in Westminster in September 2003. Donna and Damian caused controversy when they announced their intention to introduce their young daughter to gorillas, similar to the way Damian's older children had been brought up.
In April 2013, it was reported that Donna was dating James Middleton, the brother of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
Donna is actively involved in charity work, supporting organizations such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Race for Life, Sport Relief, and Jeans for Genes. She also promotes the benefits of healthy eating, yoga, and pilates.
