Biography of Doori Chang
Doori Chang is an American fashion designer of Korean descent who has achieved great success in the fashion industry in a relatively short career. She has received several prestigious awards and is recognized as one of the most promising designers of Asian origin.

Education and Early Career
Chang received her education at the renowned Parsons School of Design, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Arts in 1995. She then spent the following six years working under the guidance of the famous American designer Geoffrey Beene, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience.

Entrepreneurship and Success
In 2001, Chang started her own business with the help of her parents, who owned a dry cleaning business. Within a few years, the talented Korean designer achieved significant success. It is worth noting that Doori prefers to work with incredibly intricate yet beautiful fabric - silk jersey. This flowing and highly flexible material always enhances any design. Draping is also a signature style of Chang. She uses an incredible amount of fabric, several meters for a single garment, resulting in enigmatic, elegant, and cohesive outfits.
Chang has admitted in interviews that she has always been drawn to creating sophisticated designs. Even as a child, while helping her parents in the semi-basement dry cleaning shop, she dreamed of exquisite organza dresses and sketched her first designs on pieces of paper. Her rise to success is often compared to that of a modern Cinderella.
Awards and Recognition
In 2006, Chang received the "Perry Ellis" award for "Emerging Talent," followed by a prize from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The $200,000 prize money went towards creating her first complete collection, which caused a sensation in the American fashion industry.
Design Style and Career Expansion
Today, Doori Chang's designs include high-waisted pants, cocktail dresses, asymmetric tops, knitted bustiers, jacquard shorts, and organza blouses, among other pieces suitable for both everyday wear and various social events. Her overall approach to creating and her vision of women's clothing can be characterized as "refined modesty that accentuates beauty."
In 2008, Chang launched her own footwear line, and she constantly dreams of creating more. However, she often finds herself lacking time to pursue all her creative aspirations.
Personal Life
In 2006, Doori Chang married Jeff Green. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, watching movies, and reading newspapers.
