In 1983, Doug became serious about his music career and joined the group "Boo-Dah Bliss Crew". However, the group did not last long and only managed to record one single called "Pass the Boo-Dah". Despite this setback, Doug continued participating in various festivals and competitions, and also performed rap in several well-known groups.
