Edmund P. Cahill, better known as Eddie Cahill, was born on January 15, 1978, in New York City to parents of Irish and Italian descent. He grew up with an older brother and a younger sister. After graduating from high school, Cahill studied acting at New York University for a year and a half.

Television Career

Cahill debuted on screen in a small role in the popular TV series "Sex And The City" in 2000. Two years later, he appeared in the short-lived but critically acclaimed series "Glory Days." He gained wider recognition for his role as Tag Jones, a love interest of Rachel Green, in the sitcom "Friends." In "Felicity," Cahill shed his heartthrob image to play an unhinged drug dealer who sabotaged his girlfriend Molly's recovery. This performance demonstrated his depth and versatility as an actor.

Film Breakthrough

Cahill's career took a significant turn in 2004 when he landed a role as his childhood hero, goalie Jim Craig, in the Disney film "Miracle." He continued to appear in films, including "Lords of Dogtown" (2005) and "This Is Not A Test" (2008).

Later Career and Personal Life

Cahill is an avid hockey fan and supports the New York Rangers. He has been involved in several relationships with Hollywood stars, which he prefers to keep private. Despite his initial reluctance to embrace the Hollywood label, Cahill is gradually making his mark in the industry.
