Early Life and Education
Zachery Skelly was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Driscoll Middle School and LEE High School's North East School of the Arts (graduating class of 2010), both in the North East Independent School District. During his youth, he spent a brief period in England when his father was stationed there with the United States Air Force. Later, he attended Otterbein University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Skelly also worked as a cycling instructor at SWERVE Fitness for three and a half years.
Career Beginnings
Before moving to Los Angeles, Skelly resided in New York City, where he performed Off-Broadway. In 2016, Skelly made his debut in the drama web series "Sublets." Following his breakout role, Skelly went on to appear in television series such as "Quantico" and "9-1-1."
Commercial Work and Guest Appearances
He also did commercial work for Outback Steakhouse and starred in a public service announcement about Vicodin abuse alongside "Riverdale" actress Camila Mendes. In 2018, Skelly landed a major role as J.D. in the Paramount Network series "Heathers."
Role in "You" and Other Projects
In January 2019, it was announced that Skelly had been cast as Forty Quinn in the second season of Netflix's psychological thriller "You." He has also portrayed Charlie, one of the main love interests, in the 2022 Hulu film "Fire Island."
