Edinson Roberto Cavani Gómez was born on February 14, 1987, in Salto, Uruguay. He is a Uruguayan footballer and a forward for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Uruguayan national team.

Cavani's father and older brother were both involved in football competitions, and he followed in their footsteps by beginning his football career at a young age. Despite receiving invitations from top clubs in Montevideo, his father advised him not to rush. At the age of 12, Cavani moved to the capital and joined the youth team of the club "Danubio." In 2006, he participated in the Uruguayan championship as part of the main team and won the Apertura.
