Alf Halvor Larsen: Norwegian Track and Field Olympian

Alf Halvor Larsen was a Norwegian track and field athlete who competed in the triple jump and long jump. He achieved notable success, including a bronze medal at the 1908 Summer Olympics.

Olympic Career

At the 1908 Games in London, Larsen competed exclusively in the triple jump. With a distance of 13.39 meters, he secured a third-place finish, earning himself a bronze medal. Four years later, at the 1912 Games in Stockholm, Larsen participated in the triple jump once again, placing sixth.

National Championships

Beyond his Olympic achievements, Larsen also excelled in national competitions. He captured four Norwegian championships in the triple jump (1900, 1906, 1908, and 1911) and two championships in the long jump (1906 and 1908). These triumphs demonstrate his dominance in Norwegian athletics during his era.
