Childhood and Family Influences

Born on May 6, 1960, in Moscow, Chemberdji grew up in a family with a rich artistic background. Her father was renowned journalist and television presenter Vladimir Pozner, while her mother, Valentina Chemberdji, was a translator.

Although her parents divorced when she was young, they remained close friends. Chemberdji's musical talent was sparked by her grandmother, composer Zara Levina, who resided with the family.

Musical Education and Career

Chemberdji began playing the piano at a tender age of five. She later enrolled in the Gnessin Music School and subsequently graduated from the Moscow Conservatory as a pianist and composer.

Joining the Union of Composers of the USSR in 1986, she embarked on a successful career as a composer and educator. She taught at the Gnessin Music School and penned soundtracks for films like "Voitelnitsa" and "Chernov."

International Success in Germany

Chemberdji married a German citizen and moved to Germany with him. Together, they raised two children, Nikolai and Maria. In 2014, her daughter gave birth to a grandson named Valentin.
