The Most Pierced Woman in the World
Elaine Davidson, born in Brazil, is the most pierced woman in the world. She used to work as a nurse. In May 2000, she broke the piercing record when representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records counted 'some' 462 piercings on her body, including 192 on her face. The 42-year-old Davidson, who has nearly 7,000 metal objects inserted into her body, added one more special ring to her collection - an engagement ring. Douglas Watson proposed to the 'holey woman' and she tied the knot in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she currently resides and manages her own store. Davidson walked down the aisle in a white dress, adorned with flowers and white butterfly wings, along with colorful face paint. Unlike the attention-grabbing bride, her groom, Douglas Watson, seemed to have no tattoos or piercings. He dressed in a dark blue suit with a blue shirt and tie. Davidson was accompanied by two bridesmaids dressed in pink.

Elaine Davidson, originally from Brazil, used to work as a nurse. In May 2000, she achieved the title of the most pierced woman in the world, as confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records. She had a total of 462 piercings on her body, including 192 on her face. Davidson claimed that she had never removed her rings, earrings, studs, and other objects, which weighed a total of around 3 kilograms. She insisted that she felt no discomfort or pain, slept well every night, and continued to pierce her body. However, in 2009, Davidson stated that she did not actually enjoy piercing and suffered for her art. By February 2009, she had reached a total of 6,005 piercings, including 1,500 hidden from view. Davidson confessed, "I don't get any pleasure out of piercing...". She simply wanted to break the record, and she did. The reason why she continued to insert metal objects into her body remains unclear. Interestingly, none of her family members appreciate piercings or tattoos. On her website, Elaine, who sleeps on nails and walks on broken glass and fire, revealed that she loves extreme sports and theater but does not drink or smoke.
