Biography of Elaine Youngs
Elaine Youngs, a Californian volleyball player, is a talented athlete, a participant in the 2008 Olympics, and a recipient of numerous awards. Born on February 14, 1970, in El Toro, Elaine currently resides in Colorado and trains under the experienced guidance of coach Liz Masakayan. She comes from a large and close-knit family, with four brothers who have always supported and helped her. There was a time when Elaine and her brothers participated in sports together, spending most of their free time on sports fields.
Education and Interests
In 1988, Elaine completed high school in El Toro and later enrolled in the prestigious UCLA, where she graduated in 1993 with a degree in history. Interestingly, during her time in high school, Elaine not only played volleyball but also basketball and had an interest in other sports. Besides sports, she was always interested in traveling, enjoyed reading interesting books, and devoted significant attention to her beloved dogs.
Achievements
Elaine's athletic career excelled in volleyball, as she consistently performed exceptionally well during matches. It is no wonder that she has been a recipient of various awards and titles, including WPVA Rookie of the Year in 1997 and AVP Best Blocker, Best Offensive Player, and Most Valuable Player in 2002, among others.

Before participating in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Elaine competed in eight FIVB beach volleyball tournaments and won a gold medal in Barcelona, a silver medal in Moscow, and two bronze medals in Seoul and Paris. In total, Elaine and her partner earned over $68,000. She made a significant impact during the 2008 Olympics, impressing fans of beach volleyball. Currently, Elaine is preparing for future seasons, hoping to reach new heights and once again compete at the Olympic Games.
