Biography of Elena Obolenskaya

Elena Obolenskaya (Belevich) was born on June 10, 1973, in the USSR. After graduating from the M.S. Shchepkin Theater School under the artistic direction of N.A. Vereshchanko, she began her acting career at the Lenkom Theater, and later became an actress at the Taganka Theater.

Acting Career

Elena Obolenskaya had a successful acting career, playing leading roles in numerous performances. At the Lenkom Theater, she portrayed Fransheta in Mark Zakharov's play "Figaro" by O. Bomarshe. At the Taganka Theater, she played Nina Zarechnaya in S. Solovyov's production of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull," Shurochka in N. Gubenko's "Ivanov," and various roles in other productions such as "Chao!" directed by A. Tynkasov. She also performed in independent productions, including the roles of Smeraldina in O. Anokhin's "Hey, Truffaldino!" and Marusya in A. Vilkin's "About Fedot the Shooter, the Daring Fellow," among others.

Film Career

Elena Obolenskaya's film career began in 1994 with a small role in the short film "Private History." In the same year, she was cast in the leading role of Tanya in the drama "Forget-Me-Not," alongside Elena Finogeeva, Olga Antonova, and Nikita Tyunin. The film depicted the destinies of several generations of an old Moscow family against the backdrop of Stalinist socialism. Her film career continued successfully, with appearances in films such as "The Siberian Barber" (1998), "It's All Flowers" (2005), and "Persona Non Grata" (2005).

In 2007, Elena Obolenskaya was cast as the main character, Masha Veprentsova, in the film "Suitcase with a Bright Future," based on the novel by Tatiana Ustinova. She also appeared in films like "Take Me with You" (2008) and "Hot Chocolate" (2010), showcasing her talent for both lyrical and comedic roles.
