Elena Vyacheslavovna Shamova, born on March 21, 1988, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is a rising Russian actress who is quickly gaining recognition for her breakout role.

Childhood and Dream of Medicine

Growing up in an ordinary family in Tashkent, Elena initially aspired to become a medical professional. However, fate had a different plan in store for her. During a summer vacation to Moscow, she chanced upon students from the prestigious Shchepkinsky Theatre School. A conversation with them sparked within her a newfound passion for acting.

Embracing the World of Acting

Undeterred by the need to inform her family, Elena returned to Tashkent, withdrew her medical school application, and enrolled in the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) just four days later. Studying under the tutelage of Alexei Borodin, she began her journey into the world of acting.

Early Roles and Breakthrough

During her time at GITIS, Elena participated in numerous theatrical productions. Her natural charisma and talent caught the attention of directors and audiences alike. She also made a brief appearance in the popular TV series "Trace" and starred in the music video for Valery Meladze's "Inostranets" (Foreigner) in 2005.

In 2009, she graduated from the acting faculty and was immediately cast in the pivotal role that would launch her career. Elena portrayed Tsilya, the love interest of the renowned bandit Mishka Yaponchik, in "The Life and Adventures of Mishka Yaponchik." Her performance earned her a nomination for the Golden Nymph Award at the 2012 Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

Continuing Success

Elena's career has since flourished with notable performances in various films and television shows. She played Oksana in the sports drama "Champions from the Back Streets" (2011), Maryam in the action-packed series "Gold Reserve" (2012), and Gemma, a lady-in-waiting to Empress Catherine in the historical drama "Catherine" (2014).

Personal Life and Family

Elena kept her personal life private until 2011, when she met her future husband on the set of "The Life and Adventures of Mishka Yaponchik." They married on October 12, 2014, and welcomed a son named Alexander on March 26, 2017.

Present and Future

In recent years, Elena has dedicated herself to further training in acting and raising her son. She and her family relocated to Singapore in 2014 and currently reside in London.
