Biography of Alisher Khamrayev
Alisher Khamrayev is a renowned Soviet and Uzbek film director, screenwriter, and actor. He was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR in 1969, People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR in 1983, and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 2013.
Early Life and Education
Born in 1937, Khamrayev graduated from the directing faculty of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 1965, where he studied under the guidance of renowned director Yuri Genika.
