Childhood and Early Life
Elimkhan Jafarov was born on April 9, 1955, in the Kalininsky District of the Armenian SSR.
Education
Jafarov completed his undergraduate studies in physics at the Azerbaijan State University. He subsequently pursued a doctoral degree at the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in Moscow, earning a Candidate of Chemical Sciences degree. Later, he received a Doctor of Biological Sciences degree.
Scientific Career
Jafarov is currently the head of a laboratory at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NAA). His research focuses on the biological effects of radiation and the development of protective measures against radiation exposure.
