Early Life and EducationOlena Shulyak, a prominent Ukrainian economist and politician, pursued her undergraduate studies at Donetsk State University, where she specialized in "Finance and Credit." She later obtained a Ph.D. in Economics and became an associate professor in the Department of Marketing and Commerce at the Donetsk State University of Economics and Trade.
Professional Career
Prior to entering politics, Shulyak worked as an economist in the credit department of AKB "Donkreditinvest."
Political Career
In 2019, Shulyak joined the "Servant of the People" party as a candidate for the Ukrainian parliamentary elections. She was placed 80th on the party's electoral list. At the time of her election, she was unemployed and unaffiliated with any political party.
Parliamentary Role
As a member of the Ukrainian parliament, Shulyak serves on the Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy. She is also the chairperson of the Subcommittee on Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Insurance Activity. Additionally, she represents Ukraine in the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM.
