Early Life and Beauty Pageantry
Valérie Bègue was born in Saint-Pierre, Réunion, and grew up in Guadeloupe. As a young woman, she pursued a career in modeling and beauty pageants. In 2001, she made headlines by winning the Miss Réunion, Miss France, and Miss Europe contests. She also placed 10th at the Miss Universe pageant that same year.
Television and Radio Career
After her successful stint in beauty pageants, Bègue transitioned into television and radio. In 2005, she joined France Télévisions as a presenter for the morning show "Télématin." She has also hosted several other popular programs, including "On n'est pas couché" and "Le Grand 8." Political Career
In 2012, Valérie Bègue was elected as a regional councilor for La Réunion, representing the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP). She served in this role until 2015, when she left politics to focus on her family and media career.
