Elodie Yung, a French actress, gained fame in 2016 after portraying the character of Elektra Natchios in the second season of the Marvel series "Daredevil". Elodie Yung was born on February 22, 1981, in Paris, France, to a Franco-Cambodian family. Her father, of Cambodian origin, was forced to flee to France in 1975 to escape the communist regime of the Khmer Rouge. Yung received her secondary education in Paris and later attended Paris University, where she graduated with a law degree. However, she was not drawn to a career in law and instead focused on her true passion - acting. Yung enrolled in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and graduated with a higher education diploma.

In 2002, Yung made her debut in the French youth series "Life Before Us", appearing in 30 episodes. In 2004, she began practicing karate and also appeared in the film "Yamakasi 2" performing difficult stunts.
