Elsie spent her childhood in Portland, where she also completed her high school education. From a young age, Elsie had a passion for active sports and would often play soccer with boys. Additionally, she developed a love for swimming and spent as much time as possible in the pool. In 1997, Elsie began her water polo training, and during her school years, she earned several prestigious titles, becoming one of the top athletes in the state.
