Biography of Emilia Yordanova

Bulgarian Biathlete

Emilia Yordanova is a Bulgarian biathlete who has been representing her country in international competitions since the 2007/2008 season. However, she solidified her place in the national team in 2011 after a successful Universiade in Erzurum, where she won two bronze medals in the sprint and mixed relay events.

Early Career

Yordanova first earned her first World Cup points in the 2011/2012 season. At the Holmenkollen World Cup stage, she finished 38th in the pursuit and earned 3 points. In the following season, Yordanova achieved her best result so far by finishing 19th in the pursuit at the Holmenkollen World Cup stage, becoming one of the top 20 female biathletes. This accomplishment is the best for the Bulgarian women's team in recent seasons.

World Championships and Other Achievements

Although Yordanova has not yet achieved notable results at the World Championships, her best performance so far has been 46th place in both 2011 and 2012. In 2015, she became the vice champion of the Summer Biathlon World Championships in the mixed relay event, alongside her teammates.

Sports Club and Partnership

Yordanova represents the sports club "Ajax" Trojan along with her fellow biathlete, Vladimir Iliev, in the national team.
