Biography of Emmanuel Okoduva
Emmanuel Okoduva is a Nigerian footballer who played as a striker. He made his debut season with the Nigerian team "Fest Bank" in 2001. He gained recognition after helping the Nigerian youth team reach the final of the 2001 African Cup. Soon after, he moved from "Fest Bank" to Poltava's "Vorskla" (season 2001/02 - 13 games, 3 goals), and then to Kiev's CSKA (2002-2006 - 100 games and 32 goals), which was later renamed "Arsenal". In the 2005/06 season, he scored 15 goals and became the top scorer of the Ukrainian championship alongside Brandao. In 2006 and 2007, he played for Donetsk's "Shakhtar" and "Metalurg". In the summer of 2007, he joined "Kuban". He made his debut in the Russian Premier League on September 2nd in a match against "Zenit". After "Kuban" was relegated from the Premier League, he moved to the Belgian team "Germinal Beerschot". In July 2009, he returned to "Kuban" on loan and made his debut on August 1st in an away match against Moscow's "Spartak". In total, he played 7 matches for "Kuban" in the championship before leaving the club due to the end of his loan term.
In the fall of 2010, he was on trial at Lutsk's "Volyn". In June 2011, it was reported that Okoduva was on trial at Kryvyi Rih's "Kryvbas". He never played a single match for Kiev's Dynamo throughout the duration of his long-term contract. He was only included in the main team's squad once and played 6 matches (1 goal) for the reserve team. He had loan spells at Cypriot clubs AEK and Enosis. From early 2013, he remained without significant game practice.
In August 2014, Kharkiv's "Metalist" was close to signing Okoduva, whose rights belonged to Kiev's "Dynamo", but in the end, he did not fit into Igor Rakhayev's team. Since 2015, he has been playing in the championship of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi district for "Sokol" (Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka). In the national team, he helped Nigeria win the silver medal in the football tournament at the All-Africa Games in 2003.
