Biography of Erich Gamma

Erich Gamma is a programmer from Switzerland who is best known as one of the four authors of the classic book "Design Patterns" on design patterns. The team of authors is also known as the "Gang of Four" (GoF).

Gamma is a leading developer of JUnit, a framework for executing unit tests in Java, and Eclipse, a cross-platform integrated development environment (IDE) for software development. He has also worked at IBM on the Jazz project.

Since 2011, Gamma has been leading the development team of Microsoft Visual Studio in Zurich, Switzerland.
