Yermek Kuantayev was born on October 21, 1991, in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, into a working-class family. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for football and joined the youth academy of FC Tobol Kostanay.

Club Career

Early Success with Tobol Kostanay

Kuantayev made his debut for Tobol Kostanay in 2007, starting out as a midfielder. He quickly became a fan favorite, contributing to the team's 2010 championship victory.

Switch to Defense and European Success

In 2011, Kuantayev transitioned to the position of defender. He made history by scoring a crucial goal against Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League in 2015, helping his team secure a 2-0 victory.
