Ermin Zec: A Bosnian Football Prodigy
Early CareerErmin Zec, a renowned Bosnian footballer, began his professional journey at his hometown club, Iskora Bugojno. In 2007, he embarked on a new chapter by joining Croatian side Sibenik for a fee of 10,000 euros.
Croatian League Success
Zec made his Croatian league debut in 2007 and quickly became a force to be reckoned with. During the 2008/09 season, he emerged as Sibenik's top scorer, netting 14 goals in 27 matches. His stellar performance caught the attention of Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk in October 2008.
Accolades and Recognition
Zec's exceptional skills on the field earned him recognition as the Croatian League Player of the Year in December 2009, voted by team captains. He was also hailed as the Best Young Footballer of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the same year.
International Debut
Zec's talent extended beyond the club level. Under coach Miroslav Blazevic, he made his international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2008, coming off the bench in a match against Slovenia.
