Biography of Ethan Hunt

Ethan Matthew Hunt is a fictional character and a secret agent of the fictional organization 'Impossible Missions Force' (IMF). He is the main protagonist in the film series 'Mission: Impossible'. Throughout the four released films, Ethan Hunt, portrayed by Tom Cruise, completes missions that are deemed impossible.

Early Life and Career

In the first film, Ethan Hunt leads a team of experienced agents in IMF. Unfortunately, a mission to retrieve stolen files containing information about IMF agents ends in catastrophe. The entire team, except for Hunt, is believed to have died. Unable to recover the files, suspicions arise that Hunt may have orchestrated the mission's failure. Determined to clear his name, Hunt conducts his own investigation and discovers that the mission was part of a larger operation to expose a secret agent within IMF.

Personal Life and Challenges

Hunt realizes that his friend and team leader, Jim Phelps, was the traitor. Phelps faked his own death and enlisted the support of Franz Krieger and Claire Phelps to eliminate the remaining team members. Hunt foils their plans and exposes Jim's betrayal. He avenges his friend's betrayal by eliminating both Jim and Krieger.

In the second film, Hunt hunts down Sean Ambrose, a former IMF agent who possesses a deadly virus called 'Chimera'. He enlists the help of his ex-girlfriend and skilled thief, Nyah Nordoff-Hall. A romance between Hunt and Nyah complicates their mission, but they manage to save the world from the virus and defeat Ambrose.

In the third film, Hunt plans to retire and live a peaceful life with his fiancée, Julia Meade. However, he is called back into action to rescue one of his former trainees. During the mission, Hunt uncovers a secret that forces him back into the world of espionage. He tracks down Owen Davian, a weapons dealer, and recovers a mysterious object called the 'Rabbit's Foot'. Despite losing Julia to Davian's manipulations, Hunt manages to rescue her, retrieve the 'Rabbit's Foot', and defeat the villain.

Facing Accusations

In the fourth film, Hunt and his team are framed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin. Hunt, now on the run, discovers that the real mastermind behind the attack is Kurt Hendricks, a former Soviet nuclear strategist. Hunt and his team travel to Dubai and India to stop Hendricks's plan for nuclear war. They overcome obstacles, including Russian agents and their own personal demons, and successfully prevent the nuclear attack. It is revealed that Hunt's wife, Julia, who was believed to be dead, is actually alive.

Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the upcoming film 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation', scheduled to be released on July 31, 2015.
