Early Life and Military BackgroundEhtibar Ismayilov was born in 1964 in the Aghjabadi district of the former Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic. As a young man, he pursued a career in professional intelligence. With the outbreak of the Karabakh War, Ismayilov felt an unwavering obligation to serve his country and volunteered for military service.
Heroic Mission and Sacrifice
In 1994, Ismayilov embarked on a daring mission to gather military intelligence in enemy territory. His unit encountered an ambush and fell under heavy enemy fire. To safeguard his comrades' lives, Ismayilov selflessly threw a grenade at an enemy tank. The explosion destroyed the tank but also claimed Ismayilov's life.
Posthumous Honor
In recognition of his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, President of the Azerbaijan Republic posthumously awarded Etibar Ismayilov Baylar oglu the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan. His unwavering courage and willingness to lay down his life for his country serve as an enduring symbol of Azerbaijani patriotism and selfless devotion.
