Biography of Eva Marcille
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Eva Marcille, an American actress, television host, and model, was born as Eva Marcille Pigford in Los Angeles, California. Her father is Puerto Rican, and her mother is African American. In her childhood, Marcille was known for her mischievous nature and was not particularly interested in being considered one of the prettiest girls in her class.

After completing high school, Marcille enrolled at Clark Atlanta University. However, soon after winning the third cycle of the popular reality show "America's Next Top Model," she decided to drop out of college. This victory propelled her into the spotlight and opened doors to numerous opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Modeling Success
Overcoming fierce competition from other aspiring models like Yaya Da Costa and Amanda Swafford, Marcille secured a contract with "CoverGirl" cosmetics, appeared in a spread in "Elle" magazine, and signed a modeling contract with "Ford Models." Throughout her career, Marcille has graced the covers of various magazines such as "Brides Noir," "Women's Health," "Fitness," "King," "IONA," "Essence," and others. She has also worked with notable brands including "DKNY," "Samsung," "Red" Marc Ecko, "Jewel," and "Applebottoms."

In 2006, Marcille parted ways with her previous managers, Benny Medina and Tyra Banks. She also decided to change her last name, adopting "Marcille" in honor of her grandmothers, Marjorie and Lucille. Despite transitioning into acting, Marcille has maintained her association with the modeling industry and currently holds a contract with the agency "L.A. Models."

Acting Career
Although Marcille's acting career initially consisted of minor roles in television projects, her breakthrough came when she landed the role of Tyra Hamilton in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless." She portrayed the character for 70 episodes and gained significant popularity in the role. It is worth noting that Tyra Hamilton's name was not chosen as a tribute to Tyra Banks, but rather named after the daughter of Maria Arena Bell, the show's leading writer.
Marcille also had notable appearances in the television series "Smallville" and was cast in the unaired show "Wedding Album" in 2006. In addition to her television work, Marcille has appeared in music videos for artists such as Angie Stone, 50 Cent, and Jamie Foxx.
Personal Life
From 2007 to 2010, Marcille was in a relationship with actor Lance Gross. They got engaged in 2010, but the couple eventually called off the wedding and ended their relationship.
Throughout her career, Marcille has proven herself as a versatile talent, excelling in modeling, acting, and hosting. She continues to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, showcasing her skills and captivating audiences worldwide.
