Eva Neymann is a German-Ukrainian film director and a citizen of Ukraine. She was born in 1974 in Zaporizhia, Ukraine, into a family of engineers. In 1993, she emigrated to Germany. From 1997 to 2006, she studied at the German Academy of Film and Television in Berlin. In 2000, she worked as an assistant director for Kira Muratova on the set of the film "The Secondary People".
Her film "By the River" was shot in Russian language at the Odessa Film Studio and was screened at the Moscow International Film Festival in 2007, making it the first Ukrainian production to be shown at the festival since 1991. It was also showcased at the 37th Lagow International Film Festival in Poland, where it won the Silver Prize, and was presented out of competition at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
Her film "Paths of the Lord" received the German FIRST STEPS Award in 2007. Here is a list of her filmography:
