World Record and Olympic Success

For a long time, Radanova held the world record in short track speed skating for the 500m distance, which she set on October 19, 2001, in Calgary. She achieved great success at the Olympic Games, becoming the only European female medalist in short track speed skating on individual distances in both the 2002 and 2006 Games. In 2006, she won the bronze medal in the relay race as part of the Italian team. In 2002, she was the only European female medalist in any short track event.
