Biography of Ezequiel Garay
Ezequiel Garay, whose full name is Ezequiel Marcelo Garay, was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina in 1986. From a young age, Garay had a passion for football and spent countless hours playing the sport. His talent did not go unnoticed, and at the age of 18, he signed his first professional contract with the local team, Newell's Old Boys, which was competing in the Argentine top division.

Early Career
Garay's debut game for Newell's Old Boys was a success, with the team winning and Garay scoring a goal. Despite only appearing in 13 matches and scoring one goal, his arrival was credited with improving the team's performance. In December 2005, Garay was bought by the successful Spanish club, Racing de Santander. In his first season, he only played in seven matches and did not score any notable goals. However, his impressive performances led to him being included in the starting lineup for the next season.

Success with Racing de Santander
During his time with Racing de Santander, Garay showcased his attacking abilities, scoring numerous goals and contributing to the team's success. He finished the season as the second-highest goal scorer, with most of his goals coming from set pieces. The team's performance improved significantly, and they achieved their best result in ten years by finishing in the tenth position.

Moves to Real Madrid and Benfica
In May 2008, Garay was bought by Real Madrid for a significant sum. He made his debut in August 2009 and scored his first goal in December of the same year. However, under the management of Jose Mourinho, Garay's playing time decreased, and he was eventually sold to another club for €5 million. He joined the Portuguese club, Benfica, where he became a regular in the starting lineup.

International Career
Throughout his career, Garay also represented the Argentina national team. He won the U-20 World Cup with the junior team in 2005 and made his debut for the senior team in August 2007. Garay is set to participate in the Copa America and the next World Cup.
