The Genesis of FAKTOR-2

In 1999, two young musicians, Ilya and Vladimir, crossed paths at a vocational school. Vladimir shared his musical aspirations with Ilya, showcasing his exceptional vocal abilities. Inspired, Ilya proposed they collaborate, and thus, the foundation of FAKTOR-2 was laid.

A Musical Journey Begins

FAKTOR-2 embarked on their musical odyssey, penning songs and performing at early concerts. Their talent and determination caught the attention of DJ VITAL, a renowned producer with a successful track record in German music circles. In August 2002, VITAL approached the group with a proposal for collaboration.

A Meteoric Rise

In September 2002, FAKTOR-2 signed a contract with VITAL, and their careers skyrocketed. Their popularity soared with each passing day, culminating in a sold-out concert for 3,000 attendees in November. However, after this triumph, the group abruptly faded from the music scene.

A Triumphant Return

In July 2003, FAKTOR-2 returned with fresh material, determined to captivate a wider audience in Germany. They embarked on a two-year tour, performing an astonishing 274 concerts. The group's success caught the attention of Sergei Zhukov, the frontman of the Russian pop group Ruki Vverh.

Breaking into Russia

In December 2003, DJ VITAL shared FAKTOR-2's album with Zhukov, who was intrigued by their music. Zhukov facilitated the group's entry into the Russian music market, paving the way for their continued success.
