Brazilian-German Pianist
Eliane Rodrigues was born into a family of Jewish emigrants from Russia. She began her piano studies in Brazil under Homero Magalhães and later graduated from the Freiburg University of Music under Karl Seemann.
Early Career
From 1972 to 1976, Rodrigues taught at the Freiburg University of Music. In 1976, she became a professor of piano at the Karlsruhe University of Music.
Leadership and Honors
From 1984 to 2001, Rodrigues served as the rector of the Karlsruhe University of Music. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Karlsruhe in 2001.
International Recognition
In 1994, Rodrigues performed in Saint Petersburg, Russia, as part of a delegation of musicians from Karlsruhe for the "Schumann Days in Saint Petersburg" festival. Her international performances showcased her exceptional talent and dedication to music.
