Biography of Farkhod Abdullaev

Farkhod Abdullaev is a film director who specializes in feature films. He was born in Tajikistan and graduated from the Tajik University in 1979 with a degree in historical research. In 1984, he enrolled in the State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow and completed his studies in 1989, specializing in directing for film and television under the guidance of I.V. Talankin.

After completing his education, Abdullaev became the artistic director of the "Khaoma" studio in 1990. Currently, he resides and works in Moscow.

Throughout his career, Abdullaev has directed several notable films. In 1987, he directed the short film "Mazar." In 1989, he directed the short film "Wolf Funeral." In 1991, he directed the feature film "Foreign Game." From 1991 to 1997, he worked on the documentary series "Military Chronicles of Tajikistan." From 1997 to 2000, he directed the documentary film "Return." In 2005, he directed the feature film "Lovitor."
