Fawn Hall was born in 1959 in Annandale, Virginia, USA. She became well-known as a key figure involved in the major American political scandal known as the "Iran-Contra affair." Hall graduated from high school in 1977 and in early 1983, she was hired as a secretary for Colonel Oliver North.
Early Career and Scandal
At the beginning of her new job, Hall seemed to be on a successful path, with the potential for a promising career in politics. Additionally, her mother held the position of secretary to Robert McFarlane, who served as a national security advisor to President Reagan. However, Colonel North became a leading figure in the "Iran-Contra affair," which gained widespread attention in 1986.
Involvement in the Iran-Contra Affair
During the investigation, it was revealed that high-ranking officials in the Reagan administration were engaged in illegal arms trading. Colonel North had established a major trading channel with Iran, supplying weapons. Hall played an active role in this venture, overseeing the transfer of money to bank accounts of arms recipients. She was also involved in smuggling classified documents.
