Early Life and Education
Fyodor Mikhailovich Baiborodov was born on January 17, 1929, in the village of Suna in the Kirov Oblast. His parents were peasants, and he attended a seven-year school.
Labor Career
Baiborodov's labor career began at age 14 when he worked as a shoemaker in Miass, Chelyabinsk Oblast. From 1947 to 1950, he served as an assistant driller, and from 1950 to 1954, he worked as a driller for the Bashnefterazvedka oil exploration trust in Oktyabrsky. In October 1954, he was appointed as a drilling foreman for the Bashzapadnefterazvedka trust.
Transition to Chemical Industry
In 1960, Baiborodov began working at the Sterlitamak Synthetic Rubber Plant. He initially served as a machinist and later became an apparatus operator in the D-5-6 workshop. By 1965, he had attained the seventh grade of work and was appointed as senior apparatus operator in the D-6 department.
Innovation and Productivity
Baiborodov dedicated himself to studying the production process and made valuable suggestions that significantly improved the plant's performance. From 1971 to 1973, his proposals yielded economic benefits of over 30,000 rubles. He consistently exceeded production targets, fulfilling the 11-month plan for 1973 by 105.6%.
Recognition and Honors
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Baiborodov was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor on January 15, 1974. He received the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
Legacy
Baiborodov passed away in 2010. In his memory, a bust was installed in the Marshal G.K. Zhukov Square in Sterlitamak to honor the city's wartime laborers.
