Early Life and Education
Fedir Hurynets was born on December 8, 1988, in Chernihiv, Ukraine. He grew up with an older brother. As a student, Hurynets excelled in subjects that interested him but struggled to maintain average grades in others. Despite his academic shortcomings, he was actively involved in extracurricular activities, including theater, dance, and comedy.
Determined to pursue a career in acting, Hurynets enrolled at the National University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television in Kyiv in 2005. Concurrently, he studied under renowned actor Bohdan Stupka at the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko. Stupka, who served as the theater's artistic director, allowed his students to appear in the theater's productions, providing Hurynets with valuable stage experience.
Acting Career
Hurynets made his television debut in the detective series "Genius of an Empty Place" in 2007. His film debut followed in 2008 with the melodrama "A Tale of a Woman and a Man." After completing his education in 2010, Hurynets left the theater and dedicated himself to cinematography.
He gained recognition for his supporting role in the Russian television series "Heart Beat" in 2011. Several projects followed, including the popular sitcom "The Matchmakers" (Season 6) in 2012. Hurynets' breakthrough came in 2013 with lead roles in the series "Frodi" and "Sashka."
Sashka
Anton Goyda's melodrama "Sashka," a 100-episode series that tells the story of a homeless girl named Alexandra, catapulted Hurynets to wider fame. Despite playing a supporting role as Maksym, Hurynets showcased his talent, capturing the hearts of viewers.
The series spawned several fan clubs dedicated to the actor. In one fan interaction, Hurynets acknowledged similarities between himself and Maksym, noting that the character possessed a greater kindness and served as an occasional role model for him.
Other Notable Works
